Silk Face Masks
The COVID-19 pandemic hit small businesses hard, leading to significant losses and closures. To support local enterprises in Amman, Jordan, I launched Dina’s Silk Face Masks, a personal online boutique that collaborates with local tailors and fabric stores. This initiative allowed me to create reusable silk face masks while also bolstering local businesses.
After extensive research, I developed a mask design with three layers: a cotton inner layer, a polyester interlining filter, and an outer layer of silk, all with an adjustable elastic band. I managed all aspects of the project, including product development, marketing, advertising, and customer service. I also ran social media campaigns on Instagram and TikTok, boosting engagement by 50% and increasing followers by 60%. These efforts enhanced brand awareness, resulting in a 50% rise in brand mentions and media coverage. Additionally, I collaborated with a gift shop in Qatar to manage supply chain logistics, successfully selling over 50+ eco-friendly silk face masks.
I’m proud to say that this project not only supported small businesses but also promoted environmental sustainability. Our reusable masks help reduce waste and pollution compared to single-use alternatives.
